| Membership Services Committee (Chairman 2009/10 - Richard Eliott) This Committee is Chaired by the Club's Senior Vice-President and generally includes the Club's Press Officer and two or three other members of the Club. The primary function is to ensure that all aspects of administration run smoothly. It is also responsible for arranging the programme, particularly special events such as the evening meetings held on the 5th Mondays, Christmas Lunch, the Club Assembly at the end of June and the President's Barbecue. Club Assembly usually takes place on the final Monday evening in June and sees the handover to the incoming President. It is also the occasion when Chairs of the other Committees outline their plans for the coming year. |

| MEMBER SERVICES COMMITTEE OUTLINE PLAN FOR YEAR 2009-10 [This was presented to Club Assembly on Tuesday 1 June 2009 at No.24, Wymondham.] Our aim will be to continue to build on the excellent work carried out by previous committees. 1. To continue to ensure the smooth running of the Club e.g. organising the lunchtime duty rota, the speaker finder rota, monitoring the lunch venue and dealing with any other matters that might be raised by members. 2. To raise the profile of the club within the local community. 3. To continue to recruit new members into the club. 4. To encourage full utilisation of the Club website by all members, so that it fulfils it’s potential. 5. To develop contact with neighbouring clubs with a view to perhaps combining resources for various projects and also encouraging greater fellowship. 6. To organise appropriate events for ‘5th Mondays’ 7. To organise the Xmas lunch. 8. To develop a simple system for recording brief details about the speakers and their topics for inclusion in the monthly Newsletter. If any one has any suggestions, comments or other ideas then please let me know. We need to ensure that the Club continues to prosper and develop.
